EMPLOY-D is a non-profit organization that was formed to educate, advocate, remediate and if necessary, provide legal and financial assistance to families who are unable to afford time sensitive resources that would allow their child(ren) to thrive.
We understand the urgency and want to ensure that everyone gets what they need when they need it. Too many children are getting left behind or passed along within the public school system. This causes a much greater issue for that person, their family and society as a whole.
Our intention here, is to provide hands on support and resources to those in need. We must work together to help those around us.
Throughout this website you will find links to alternate resources and websites. We have done this because there is no need to redo what has already been done. We are in this together. Educate yourself, learn all you can and if you need us, reach out.
We would love to hear from you and look forward to making a difference together.

Most dyslexics have average or an above-average intelligence. Albert Einstein had dyslexia. Many other brilliant people do too.
Anyone can have dyslexia. It does not matter your race or gender, however, it can be hereditary. Lack of knowledge, understanding and appropriate remediation, not only effects that person, it affects their family and generations to come.
The school to prison pipeline continues to grow. Can you imagine the futures that are being destroyed, when there is actually a solution that could change the outcome of many lives? Over 80% of people in prison are illiterate, so they never received the education they needed.
An unexpected difficulty in reading for an individual who has the intelligence to be a much better reader with appropriate instruction.
If your child is struggling in school, he/ she has the right to a free and appropriate public education (FAPE).
Navigating the public education system is complex and specialized tutors are expensive. If you need help, reach out.
